The 1960s

1967 - Montréal, Canada
The Exhibition celebrated Canada’s centenary and Montreal’s 325th anniversary and had more than 50 million visitors. The theme was ‘Man and his World’. Here exhibitors concentrated on the growing urban world. Of the few remaining Expo ‘1967 buildings still standing is Moshe Safdle’s Habitat 67, Bucminster Fuller’s American Pavilion (today known as the Biosphere), and the French Pavilion (today known as the Montreal Casino).
